Uplift is a modern religion with the same objectives than traditional ones, but with a different set of core beliefs.
Up to this day, religions around the world are more or less centered around the concepts of gods, the eternal human soul and.
Uplift parts with those ancient precepts, replacing them with beliefs in goals that are difficult to achieve and faith in humanity coming together to realise them.
The Uplift Project is a global effort to spread the Uplift religion as far and large as possible. It uses the Internet to achieve this goal, connecting people thought websites and social media.
Not in the least.
Old religions have brought us where we are today and we should thank them for that. They have strived to maintain a high standard of human morality and to shield us from our animal side.
That said, their effectiveness is declining in the modern world. They often use antiquated language. They are splashed by scandals and crime. They foment wars. On a daily basis, we are reminded that their teachings are failing. It is time for them to step aside and make room for a new way, less mystical, anchored in a belief where we, human beings, can be much better than this.
The time is now, indeed.
World leaders are increasingly selfish and careless, leaving chaos and instability in their wake.
Corporations are forever hungry and nothing is preventing them from eating the world, laying waste and degrading our habitat.
Technology has promised us human connection and open borders, but we are starting to see that technology in itself is not enough for that to happen.
And finally, it always seems that everybody talks about it, but nothing is ever done.
Those are the reasons why the time is now.

Participate in Egg Drives when they come around, give only what a single egg costs in your part of the world.
Egg Drives are the Uplift Project’s way to gather a few funds required to keep it going.
They are called Egg Drives because, if you wish to participate from your corner of the world, you should only contribute the monetary equivalent of a single egg, whether you buy it directly from a farm, from the store or in a fancy restaurant, or if you sell it to your neighbor or to a distributor.
The Uplift Project doesn’t require much money to operate and a shop is not part of the short term goals. If money is required for a project or simply to pay a few bills, Egg Drives will remain the only channel towards that purpose.
